It’s hard to believe that the "Hacker's Day Conference" is just around the corner — in only a few days to be exact! The whole team in Lucknow getting ready and seriously, this is going to be a fantastic event.

Now we'll be sharing an exclusive interview with one of our Geek Speaker, speaking at "Hacker's Day Conference". Today, we're featuring "Karan Bansal" .

Q. Please tell us about yourself ?

Karan Bansal : I am Karan Bansal, hold computer science and engineering from IIT Kanpur. I have worked as a Security Researcher at Product Security Team of Citrix Systems. I designed a 'Distributed Idle State Fuzzing System' for the enterprise and the project was presented in c0c0n 2014. I have also worked at FireEye where I designed a vulnerability scanner tool for windows machine. I was also speaker & trainer at DEFCON Lucknow 2016 conference.

Q. Things which you love and hate in the cyber security industry ?

Karan Bansal : I love the effort which so many hackers over the country do in making our country cyber space more secure.

The thing I hate is so many young minds don't get a chance to showcase their skills in the field and most of the times sufficient resources are not available with these brilliant minds to do their research and hands on over the technology.

Q. Awards, Presentations all over the world, Publications etc,  is Information Security your profession or your passion ?

Karan Bansal : Well, it's my passion turned into a profession. Getting paid for doing what you love, what else can be better than that! :)

Q. Can you give us any hints about your topic ?

Karan Bansal : I'll be teaching about the vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of the web applications. I'll be teaching the attendees about the core aspects of web application architecture, various security loopholes in the applications and how they can be exploited by hackers, and what we can do to prevent them and secure our data. As the technical terms are already mentioned on the site I won't be discussing them here.

Q. In what way Hackers Day 2017 help attendees ?

Karan Bansal : Hackers Day helps attendees by providing them an exposure to the current affairs in the security industry, a platform to interact with the fellow hackers and guidance from information security experts all over the world.

Q. What would you like to say about Nitin Pandey for his initiative Hackers Day ?

Karan Bansal : As I discussed that one thing I hate about the cyber security industry is that not everyone gets the chacne to showcase their skills. I think Nitin Pandey bro is doing a great job by providing that platform to young hackers in this field. Kudos to his hard work and dedication.

Q. Any comments or suggestion for The Hacker Samachar ?

Karan Bansal : The Hacker Samachar is doing a great job by interviewing the hackers over the country and publishing their interviews which are really helpful for the beginners in this field. They'll learn the various do's and don'ts in the field of security from the renowed experts.
