It’s
hard to believe that the "HackTech Conference" is just around the
corner — in only a few days to be exact! The whole team in Ahmedabad
getting ready and seriously, this is going to be a fantastic event.
Now we'll be sharing an exclusive interview with one of our Keynote Speaker, speaking at "HackTech Conference". Today, we're featuring "Vanshit Malhotra".
Q. Tell
me something about yourself ?
I am Vanshit Malhotra , an information security Enthusiast and
Infosec reseacher having a 5 + years of Experience in Information Security
Industry and currently working with Aujas Network as a full time penetration
tester, which means hacking gives me my salary. I am also a Security Researcher
, Infosec Trainer and Cyber crime investigator . I am also an active bug bounty
hunter , listed in hall of fame , and an active blogger .
Q. What do you love and
hate about working in the cyber security industry ?
Love : Everything . How a few lines of code can be used to
breakdown the security of a sophisticated operating system. Shellcodes,
Malwares, wireless attacks, cracking the perimeter of most secure
infrastructures ... love it all ..
Hate : Absolutely Nothing... But sometimes its anoying when people
argue for convenience over security
Q.AWARDS, PRESENTATIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD, PUBLICATIONS… IS
INFORMATION SECURITY YOUR PROFESSION OR YOUR PASSION ?
I am an extremely passionate guy when it comes to my work,
Information security . I have been doing small time hacks since my school days
and have been evolving since. So luckily , I have found my profession in my
passion.
Q. Can you give us any
hints about your topic ?
Attendees can expect to see Live Demonstrations on step by step
bypassing of the AV engines ! I will be showing how to bypass the most popular
AV engines for a well detected malware ... simply fooling the Antivirus
solutions through out the talk.
Q. IN WHAT WAY DID THIS EVENT HELP ATTENDEES ?
Almost all the endpoint security is dependent of Antivirus
Solutions . We trust the Antivirus to protect us against the malwares,
ransomwares and other threats. But how often do you really test the
capabilities of the AV engines ? Even the tightest Penetration Tests and
security Assessments do not test the AV engines for their effectiveness . I
will be showing how penetration testers can target the weakness in the
Antivirus engines and bypass them.
Q. WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE CONFERENCE ?
They Say and I quote "Sharing is Caring" ! I am looking
forward to loads of knowledge sharing among the speakers and audiences from
different domains of Information Security. As Security Consultants our job is
to spread Infosec awareness and speaking at confrences is an excellent way to
do that .I am also keen to meet infosec community and have an opportunity to
attend the talks by other speakers.
