Scott Disick was hacked on Twitter on Tuesday, hours after Ashley Tisdale and Hilary Duff were hacked. The same person appears to be responsible for all the hackings. See screengrab below.
At 2:43 p.m. Eastern, a tweet appeared on Disick’s feed announcing, “Your Security has been breached by @RyanisGodly.” A minute later, a follow-up message said, “getting off this account… but for security tips follow me <3 @RyanisGodly. ” As of now, the postings are still up.
As Gossip Cop reported, Tisdale was hacked Tuesday morning with similar messages. Just like now, @RyanisGodly was credited in the tweets as the person responsible. On that @RyanisGodly account, the person further tweeted, “0_0 your security has been breached by @ashleytisdale.” The hacker wrote repeatedly about security, and went on to proclaim “love” for Ellen DeGeneres.
While the host’s own feed has not been compromised, Duff confirmed that her page was in fact hacked when random messages appeared just after midnight on Tuesday. She quickly deleted the tweets, and told followers, “Obviously my twitter has been hacked. Please disregard all tweets. Silly that this happens :(” Screengrabs of the deleted tweets indicated @RyanisGodly was the apparent mastermind then, too.
It’s notable that all three of these celebrity hackings by the same person happened within hours of each other on Tuesday. It’s possible that other stars were also hacked but have yet to notice. At the time of our Tisdale piece this morning, the illegitimate tweets were still on her page, but a spokesperson confirmed to Gossip Cop that they were “working” on resolving the matter. They’ve since been deleted.
It’s also notable that these security breaches are coming almost exactly a year after similar incidents in June 2016. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, stars ranging from Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry to Drake and Jack Black all had their Twitter accounts hacked over a period of a few weeks. Gossip Cop will continue to monitor this new situation.
